The Pembrokeshire whistlers were warmly welcomed by West Wales RA Secretary John Davies and Swansea Society Secretary Viv Nedin. Jonathan Twigg, commenting on behalf of Pembrokeshire thanked Swansea City for providing tickets at such an excellent value, Motec (Haverfordwest) for supporting the occasion by helping provide transport and the two drivers, Helmut Reinhardt and Keith McNiffe. This is the second year where the Society has travelled to the Liberty Stadium and the agreeable company ensures names have already been inked in for the next trip. Twigg further commented that the age ranged from children of 1 to grand-parents of 91, who all complimented the Society for organising the trip. Pembroke’s Pedr McMullen is the stalwart chairman of the RA of Wales and his commitment to ensuring the smooth transition is recognised by members across the Principality. To mark this memorable occasion the Pembrokeshire Society has initiated a fund raising endeavour, with the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital for Wales its intended recipient. Further details will be made available shortly and the society encourages all football lovers in Wales to be involved in this worthwhile cause.
